With members from all continents, the International Association of Chefs is a very respected and widely known professional association in our field.

Creating communities of professionals dedicated to our better our professional field. As a member of the International Associations Administration, this Association is part of a large conglomerate of professionals in a variety of fields and that help us all in growing professionally together as a big global family.

Who we Are

The International Association is one of the oldest interdisciplinary associations dedicated, comprising academics, practitioners, policy experts, private sector workers and independent researchers, among others. The Association has long served as a central hub for the exchange of ideas and for networking and programmatic initiatives among those involved in the study, teaching and practice of our field.

Through its Conferences, as well as its E-newsletter, the Association promotes rigorous discussion, research and writing on a broad range of topics within our field. The Association also offers various funding, bridging and mentoring opportunities that facilitate the development of new ideas, relationships and skillsets. These opportunities provide a space for underrepresented groups and other professionals to grow in the field.

Sections

Sections are thematic sub-units organized around specific topics and research interests in our field worldwide. Members of the association are welcome to join any Sections they would like. There is obviously also a subdivision by languages, being English and Spanish the most common among members.

Regions

Regions are geographic sub-units of the Association, offering opportunities for members to exchange ideas and research with local colleagues. Membership in regions is automatically determined by the geographic location of the member.

Publications

The Association publishes 12 E-journals and co-sponsors/collaborates with other Professional Associations.
